20 November, 1077

I have received a clam against the Duchy of Achaia! This could be the excuse I need to extend my power.

Unfortunately the Doux has a powerful ally, the Doux of Antioch. The Doux of Antioch does not seem to like me that much. I will have to find some way to ensure that he does not get involved in a war.

  1. now if you defeat him do you become a double duke since you would have 2 duchies. Or are they merged? Or since you own more than one duchie do you get promoted to king?

also, also, did this guy support the king during the rebellion? If not maybe you could drum up royal support.

also, also, also since he is chased maybe you could send someone to seduce his wife.

  2. Hahah. Seducing a wife? I don't think that would be the just thing to do! More importantly it is not a plot but it would be pretty cool if it was.

If I take over the duchy then I become the Duke of both Athens and Achaia. I could "destroy" the title. Which means that it merges with Athens. However any the counts in Achaia would be really mad at me.

I think the Duke of Achaia didn't rebel. But even if he did the Emperor would not intervene because it is an internal struggle.
